The Y6 Wider Horizons Mentees were invited to attend an Experience of Work Day at UCAS with their Mentors, as part of the ‘Wider Horizons Mentoring Programme’ that they are already involved in.
The aims of the day were to provide the children with a valuable insight into the workplace, whilst reflecting upon the skills they already have. Their mentors helped the children to set goals and consider their aspirations for the future!
The Mentees had a busy day... They got UCAS security passes when they arrived, got to sit on big spinning boardroom chairs, talked about careers and options for when they leave school and met the team that their Mentors work with. They even got to choose and eat a lunch in the UCAS canteen!
Thanks to all at UCAS who let our Y6 Mentees enjoy this experience!
