Growing Beanstalks! This term we have looked at planting and growing. Our story has been Jasper's Beanstalk. We planted our own Beanstalk and watched them grow over tinme.
Maps! This week we looked at where we lived on the map. We then had a go at drawing our own map to show the route we take to school.

Christmas has arrived in Reception! Ginger came to visit and has given us lots of challenges to complete. So far we have wrapped presents, explored ice, made snow, decorated the tree and put on a Christmas show!

Making Advent Wreaths
Today we have been learning about Advent. We looked at the Advent wreath in the hall and discussed the meaning.

We wore odd socks to support anti bullying week.
Today was our first yoga session with Eve. Eve will run a mindfulness yoga session for us, for the next 10 weeks! We can't wait for the next one!
In PE this week we practised jumping! We tried hard to jump really high and land carefully.
We attended our welcome liturgy which was run by year 6. They welcomed us to the school and gave us each a pebble to lay in the prayer garden.
In Welly Wednesday we did some observational drawings of the trees on our field. We also did some leaf rubbings!
To celebrate National Spanish Day we learnt about Spain and tried some Seville oranges!
We have been learning nursery rhymes! So far we have learnt; Hickory Dickory Dock, Humpty Dumpty and Incy Wincy Spider!
