St Thomas More Catholic Primary School

Inspiration, Celebration and Education

I have come so that they may have life and have it to the full  John 10:10

Welcome to St Thomas More Catholic Primary School.  Our school is part of a welcoming and happy community and we see ourselves as more than just a school, but as a school family.  We are a Catholic, Christian, community and all aspects of our school life and work reflect our faith - God is at the heart of all we do.  St Thomas More’s life was characterised by holiness, honesty, courage and learning, and we fully promote these values at our school.

At St Thomas More, each child is given every opportunity to develop their talents to the full and to discover how they can use their gifts for the good of society in a happy, well-ordered and caring environment.  We provide a curriculum, which is broad and balanced, and designed to enable every child to be well-equipped to be active citizens in the world. We also provide a wide range of extra-curricular activities and strong pastoral support.

I know how vital working in partnerships with parents really is, in order for children to find school a positive and rewarding experience.  I strongly believe achievement and enjoyment go hand in hand to ensure each child’s progress.  I hope that you will support our high expectations in all areas, especially in behaviour and achievement.

We believe that every child should be given the opportunity to realise their full potential and deserves the best life chances that we can offer.

Our Mission Statement

As a Catholic school, God is at the heart of all we do. We believe that each person is made in His image, deserving to be treated with respect and dignity.

Showing respect, love and care for everyone and everything, we aim to develop harmony between pupils, parents the school and Parish and grow as a Christian community.

We aim to embed the virtues in every child to believe in themselves to be the best that they can be and leave school as well-rounded individuals who care about themselves, others, and the world.
