Bonjour! Hola! Ciao! こんにちは! On the 24th of May every class in school took part in 'Languages Morning'. It was a great opportunity to learn lots of different things about different countries and cultures. Some classes travelled to Italy and Spain, while others flew to Japan. Have a look at our photos to see what we have been doing.
Year 1- Japan
Year 3 - Italy
Year 3 had a great morning learning Italian! We started the morning finding Italy on the world map and looking at the capital City - Rome. We then found out some interesting facts and recorded these inside then Italian flag. Next, we learnt to count to 10 in Italian and learnt the name of some animals. We used our new words to play an Italian game - 'Regina, Regina, Bella'. We ended the morning by making some authentic Roman pottery.
Year 6 continued their learning of French and learnt about french food.
