Our objective was to design, build and test three gliders. The glider needed to travel as far as possible in a straight line without rising or falling.
We began our day with a presentation. We learnt all about engineering and recapped
STEAM Science - Technology - Engineering - Art - Maths
We learnt all about the work that goes into engineering Bloodhound. We thought about the adaptions that would be made to try and get a faster record. We thought about more power, better shape and new technology.
We had fun whilst building, testing and racing rocket cars. We learnt about aerodynamics, metals and materials used in the Bloodhound 1,000mph Car and explored what makes structures strong and fast. We worked as engineers solving problems.
Today we had a Lego Robotics workshop. We were engineers and then we coded software. We created our own aircraft using Lego and instructions. We then used used coding software to programme our aircraft to travel around a map. We had lots of fun!
