Our Curriculum, Teaching and Achievement.

A child-centered, fun curriculum is at the heart of our preschool. We follow the Unique Child principle (from the EYFS framework)- building learning through play, exploration and active learning. We plan next steps based on observations of what each individual child enjoys and can already do.

Our EYFS preschool curriculum underpins the four overarching themes of the Early Years Foundation Stage:

  • A Unique Child- we promote - every child develops differently.
  • Positive Relationships- children learn best when they feel secure and valued.
  • Enabling Environments - our setting responds to all children's interests and promote learning.
  • Learning and Development - Our children are our curriculum and our planning reflects how they learn through play.        We recognise that every child is unique and develops at their own pace, and we provide experiences that respond to individual needs and interests. Positive relationships between children, practitioners , and families are central to our approach, creating a secure base from which children can explore and learn. Our enabling environments - both indoors and outdoors are thoughtfully designed to inspire curiosity , independence and active learning. Through this approach , our curriculum supports children's holistic development and ensures that every child is nurtured, challenged and prepared for their next stage of learning. We aim for all preschool children to enter their Reception Year as confident , curious learners.
