This term, we are learning all about Multiplication (11's and 12's times table) and Addition and Subtraction methods. We will be reading 'The Firework Makers Daughter'. In English, we are writing a narrative based on the story 'Bike Boy'. In RE this term we are exploring Christmas and Revelations. In Science, we will be using a scientific lens to look at 'States of Matter' and the importance of gases, liquids and solids. In History, we will be deepening our knowledge of The Maya Civilisation' and the Romans. In Geography, we are learning about the human and physical features across the United Kingdom. We are expanding our Spanish Vocabulary with our topic 'All about me'.

Race the Teacher
Our 'Race the Teacher' book will be 'The One and Only Ivan' by Katherine Applegate. If you are able to buy this book for your child to read at home, alongside me, then that would be great. Throughout the weeks we will have class discussions about our favourite parts and characters. Thank you to those that read 'Danny Chung does not do Maths' it was great to hear your thoughts and opinions on the text!

R.E.S.P.E.C.T Workshop
Today we had a R.E.S.P.E.C.T workshop from One Day Creative. We thought about times when people had been unkind to us. We thought about ways we can fix it when we have been mean to each other - be kind, give a hug, say sorry! We linked this with the word ‘respect’!
