Welcome to St. Thomas More Catholic Primary School.
Give your child a head start...that's right, why not come and visit us? Come and see what goes on and the opportunities that are available for your children in our happy, caring, fun and exciting school.
All our children are part of a very happy family, individuals are valued, respected and encouraged to reach their full potential. The teachers, teaching assistants, all our wonderful administrative staff, caretaking staff, families and governors work very closely to support children's education and provide the very best opportunity available. Above all else we make a difference.
We are a very kind and caring school. Our quality teaching and support staff educate, inspire and celebrate with all our pupils.
We have our very own Breakfast club, 'drop-in' zone every day at 8.00 a.m. We are forging very close links with the Hesters Way Community and we will be providing community support at school, provided with help from the Children's Centre.
The extra-curricular activities are varied and interesting. We participate in all competitive sports. We like to plan in many visiting speakers and performers making sure there is a good range available. We plan residential field trips for our upper junior children. We hope to be able to take our Year 6 on a Water Sports Course every summer.
We are re-launching the school House System, having now elected the new School Council.
As the newly appointed leader of our school, I will be looking carefully at the systems that work, but also making changes to ensure that we continue to provide the very best education and support for your child and that all our pupils are successful and ready for their next stage in education. We will do this through our consistent high expectations across all aspects of school life.
The children enjoy their lessons and are very happy and would be very pleased to meet you and tell you all about their school. The website is designed to help give visitors a true insight into school life but it is also a dynamic site for our parents and carers to make use of, keeping in touch with events and staying informed as to what is happening at school.
Enjoy exploring the site, feel free to contact me with any suggestions / comments.
