This term, we are learning all about Measurements in Maths this included looking at time and units of measurements. We will be reading 'The Explorer by Katherine Rundell'. In English, we are writing an Explanation text based on the world of microbiome and a balanced argument based on feeding animals at the zoo. In RE this term we are exploring Pentecost, St Thomas More and Sacraments. In Science, we will be using a scientific lens to look at all our previous topics and carry out further scientific enquiry based on these. In History, we will be deepening our knowledge of the Tudors and the Victorian time period. In Geography, we are learning about the human and physical features across the United Kingdom. We are expanding our Spanish Vocabulary with our topic 'Do you have a pet?'.

Our 'Race the Teacher' book will be 'The Great Elephant Chase' by Gillian Cross. If you are able to buy this book for your child to read at home, alongside me, then that would be great. Throughout the weeks we will have class discussions about our favourite parts and characters. Thank you to those that read 'Danny Chung does not do Maths' and 'The One and Only Ivan' it was great to hear your thoughts and opinions on the text!
Today we had a R.E.S.P.E.C.T workshop from One Day Creative. We thought about times when people had been unkind to us. We thought about ways we can fix it when we have been mean to each other - be kind, give a hug, say sorry! We linked this with the word ‘respect’!
R - Reach Out - I can help
E - Eye Contact - I can see
S - Smile
P - Praise - You’re kind
