What can the school do to improve?

 

  • Encourage and work better with children who struggle on a daily basis.
  • Provide more time for the parents to see their child/rens teachers.
  • Be more educated on Special educational needs.
  • To make you aware when your child is struggling, so you can give extra support.
  • Offer more for children that are at top/high level.
  • Maybe expect more form children – learn more, read more, memorize times tables.
  • One on one support needs to be better.
  • SEN gets support – top class children get support – middle stream children seem to be left out.
  • Not sure – I don’t get much information.
  • Be far more attentive and competent at both awareness and resolution of issues with disruptive and/or violent children.
  • TA’s and Support staff need to be less dismissive of children reporting issues even if they happen to be numerous/frequent.
  • More communication regarding child’s progress.
  • Keep up the good work.
  • Letting parents know when things are happening with plenty of notice.
  • As a Catholic School, it would be nice to see more welcoming and enthusiastic people working with passion and promoting very high ethos and behaviours.
  • Some staff smoking by school gates where children pass and see bad habits.
  • More choices in clubs and maintain continuity as currently a child may begin to like a particular club and then it ceases at the end of term and a different club starts.
  • Do more things after school i.e. assemblies, disco etc.
  • More insight in children development and expectations.
  • More information on activities as I don’t always receive texts.
  • Poor choice of after school clubs which often change each term although children may be happy to carry on.
  • Clubs are for older children not for reception.
  • Music lessons.
  • Stick to timetables regarding reading books and homework and keeping better records of which books have been read and whether they have been changed for each child.
  • Encourage pupil to join extra curricular school activities.
  • Less expense to parents.
  • Communicate better with parents when teacher is on long term sickness.
  • Help advise parents with any behaviour issues they have.
  • Clubs for the children.
  • There are no drama/dance classes for children to express themselves.
  • Some children can only show emotions rather then talk about them/express them.
  • Offer more for EYTS with after school clubs and Trips.
  • Parking issue.
  • Tell us in advance the topics they are learning/studying so we could help to follow up and assist at home.
  • Dealing with the way a child can improve it’s behaviour.
