Extra Curricular Activities
We have a number of after-school clubs for children from Y1 upwards to participate in. The clubs run from 3.15 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. The after-school clubs offer pupils an opportunity to expand their interests and participate in both team and individual activities.
The school clubs that will be running for the term commencing in January 2015 are listed below. Children need to consider which club they would like to go to and parents should let relevant teacher know by Friday 16th January. Please note that we have limited spaces at each club and therefore your child is not guaranteed a place. In the event of clubs being 0ver-subscribed, places will be allocated at random to ensure fairness and equality.
We would urge your child only to apply for a club space if they are going to attend regularly. If you are allocated a space and have persistent absence, the space will be offered to another child.
All children are to be collected after their club has finished, at the main entrance.
Year 6 Activity Visit
Year 6 pupils are given the chance to take part in a more extensive visit. This may take the form of a residential trip or consecutive days of off-site activities. By nature these opportunities are expensive and the contribution required by parents can be considerable. Possible opportunities will be discussed with parents prior to booking and the best format agreed. For information about the Year 6 PGL trip click here.
Charging for school activities
Unfortunately, the school has to make charges for additional and extra-curricular activities such as residential visits and trips. Pupils are also asked to contribute towards the cost of coach hire in the term that their class is having swimming lessons at Cheltenham Leisure Centre.
Parents’ contributions enable the school to extend the range of experiences and opportunities available to pupils. They are however on a strictly voluntary basis.
